Care Guide – Enjoy Your Schlossberg Bed Linen for Longer
High-quality natural fibres are naturally easy to care for. With the right care, your Schlossberg bed linen will retain its beautiful appearance, luxurious feel and exceptional quality for many years.

Daily Care
Gently shake out your made-up duvet every day and ventilate the bedroom regularly. This allows moisture absorbed during sleep to evaporate naturally and helps keep your bed linen fresh and comfortable.
Preparing for Washing
Turn your bed linen inside out before washing. This protects the surface of the fabric and also makes changing the bed easier.
Important: Always keep all closures securely closed during washing and drying.
Washing Your Bed Linen Correctly
Coloured and Printed Bed Linen
Use only a colour detergent without optical brighteners. Dark colours should preferably be washed separately.
White Bed Linen
Always wash white bed linen separately. A conventional heavy-duty detergent can safely be used for white laundry.
Washing Temperature
Coloured and printed bed linen can be washed at a maximum temperature of 60°C.
For the first wash, Schlossberg recommends washing at 60°C. Natural fibres may shrink by approximately 4–6% during this process and will thereby reach their intended final dimensions.
For subsequent washes and lightly soiled bed linen, 40°C is generally sufficient. This helps protect both the fabric and the environment.
Tip: Place the bed linen loosely into the washing machine. An overloaded drum places unnecessary strain on the fabric and can cause the bedding to become tangled or twisted during washing.
Drying Your Bed Linen
Remove your bed linen from the washing machine as soon as possible after the cycle has finished and dry it immediately. Leaving damp laundry in the machine for an extended period can lead to unpleasant odours.
The gentlest and most environmentally friendly method is air-drying on a clothesline.
If you prefer to use a tumble dryer, remove the bed linen while it is still slightly damp shortly before the end of the drying cycle. This reduces stress on the fabric and makes ironing easier.
Ironing
Schlossberg Satin and the other fabrics in the collection are particularly easy to iron.
For effortless results, iron the bed linen while it is still slightly damp. The fine fabric smooths beautifully and retains its elegant, impeccably finished appearance.
